I know its blurry but I had to get something up here to see if I could finally get this to work. The plate says BKOFF and the sticker (for Bill) says "Don't Hold Strong Opinions About Things You Don't Understand".

I've actually got two of those plates from good ol' Wisconsin and have applied for the same here in Minnesota. You could say its the final piece of the puzzle set in place to make this place home to me.

The plate resided on the Virago and the sticker is on the Sportster. This year marks twenty years of owning the Yamaha and fourteen for the Sporty.

I'm telling you now, my pictures will never be of the quality of any other blogs you might read. But they may, to some degree, help get an idea across. I guess we'll just have to see.

My pictures aren't of the highest quality, either. I find the value of pictures for me is in the planning. As I'm thinking of a picture it helps me round out the whole idea of the blog post. Or they sometimes inspire the post in the beginning. When they're on my blog they just add a little humor or break up all the typed words.

Steve's pictures, on the other hand, are almost blog posts by themselves. I know my strengths are in other areas so I go with those. All of us in this blog neighborhood have different strengths. It's when we combine them here that we truly make a meaningful contribution.

Wow Harv,
I thought I was on someone elses blog. An actual photo on RB's blog folks. I believe this to be a first!
I totatally agree with irodad's comment. Bloggers shouldplay to their strengths. Your words are photos in themselves, but it is nice to throw the dogs a bone now and then Harv :)
Peace!
Cody

Thanks Iron', that's what I hope to accomplish. Its going to take some work to get decent at it but at least now I can post pics. I don't think I'll ever forget the picture of your grandparents and their horses.

Thanks Cody, we'll see how the pictures I take turn out. I don't know that I'll add them to every post but when they feel like the work I'll give it a shot. If they really add to the posts then great. If not, I'm fine with being the old familiar me ;)

This is a date for the history books --- a picture!

Seriously though, with a little practice you'll be fine with the camera. The nice thing about digital cameras is that you can practice for free.

irondad: You've given me an idea. I want to try and produce a post that has no words but you still get the message. Like a comic strip.

Sorry for the long delay in posting. I've been doing the family thing and the yard thing.

Thanks Bryce, that's my calling card hehe.

John, Ive been looking around for that sticker but have not seen it. I think I got it at a place called Hot Topic (its a freak show in there) but they don't have them listed anywhere anymore.

Steve, Thank You! haha Yeah, they'll get better. I think I finally have this system down now but that pic came from some old files. The only appropiate one to use and it seemed a good way to start using pictures.
